From slow to lean mean hypothesis machine in 3 years
Haakon shared how SpareBank 1 has gone from being an IT heavy company - pushing products - to become a company who works hypothesis-driven and with focus on customer needs. Now they deliver customer value, good products and services. However, SpareBank 1 still have work to do with methods and tools to drive them even further. The lecture introduced some of what we they are working on to become a better organization.
Haakon is the head of design at Sparebanken 1. He has a background in Sociology from UiO, but has worked with the development of digital solutions since the early days of Internet (2001).
Haakon has worked as an Interaction Designer, Customer Insight Expert and Consultant (Razorfish, Creuna, Tarantell and Making Waves) for 13 years. Since 2013, he has worked at SpareBank 1. First in the strategy department, then head of the design departement. When he started in 2015, the department had three designers. Today the department consists of a total of 19 designers who work within business design, service design, interaction design and graphic design. The experience from these years in SpareBank 1 leads to today's lecture on how the designers try to influence the organization to work differently - more driven by hypothesis.
